Entertainment Weekly (shudder) has a surprisingly content-filled listing of rock star blogs (although, in true EW tradition, the story is named ‘Musicians do it Bloggy Style’). Some are expected (Moby, Kanye West) and some aren’t (Brian May – who apparently just got his Ph.D. in astrophysics). Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney has a particularly excellent blog called Monitor Mix hosted by NPR [via EW]

Audio in Flash has always been a problem. There’s a real lack of sound manipulation features (so much so that an online protest group formed). Fortunately, Tinic Uro, an Adobe engineer, is to the rescue. Flash Player 10 (aka Astro) is starting to look at these problems – the geeks are excited.

AndrĂ© Michelle is one of the top Flash music programmers around (and he open sourced his Popforge AS3 library – what a guy). First he made Splice, an online multi-track audio editor. Now, there’s the HobNox Audiotool, an amazing (and free) online electronic music studio that lets users compose with emulations of vintage digital samplers (e.g. Roland TR-808 drum machine).
